Intellectual Property | Cosmetic Smile Studio

1. Client-Uploaded Files

All files you upload to our portal (including impressions, STL files, photos, prescriptions, and treatment plans) remain your intellectual property or that of your clinic. By uploading, you grant Cosmetic Smile Studio a limited license to use these files solely for the purpose of fabricating your ordered restorations.

2. Lab Deliverables & Design Files

Digital design files (CAD files, STL outputs, design proposals) created by Cosmetic Smile Studio remain our property until payment in full is received. Upon complete payment, ownership of the specific design files for your case transfers to you. We retain the right to use anonymized or de-identified case work for portfolio, training, and marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing.

3. Our Branding & Platform

The Cosmetic Smile Studio name, logo, website, and portal platform are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, copy, or use our branding or platform code without written permission.

4. No Reverse Engineering

You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary methods from our design files, workflow processes, or software tools provided through our portal (including Exocad web viewer files).

5. Third-Party Software

Design files may be created using licensed third-party CAD software (including Exocad). Your use of any such files is subject to the terms of those licenses. We make no warranties regarding the compatibility of design files with specific milling or printing equipment.

6. Opt-Out of Portfolio Use

If you do not wish your case work (anonymized) to be used in our portfolio or training materials, please notify us in writing at info@cosmeticsmilestudios.com when submitting a case.
